Sustainability Initiatives at VetCT

At VetCT we believe sustainability shouldn’t be part of what we do – it’s a guiding influence for everything we do.

We’re delighted to share some of the sustainability initiatives we’ve been working on this year at VetCT.

Partnerships

  • We’ve partnered with Wildlife Vets International (WVI)! WVI provide veterinary expertise to conservation projects around the globe. Find out more about our partnership and fundraising challenge HERE.
  • We’ve also excited to announce a new partnership with Vet Sustain – more details coming soon!

Sea Turtles

We provide free specialist advice for rescued sea turtles! Our team at VetCT chose Sea Turtles as our company flagship species. These beautiful marine creatures are vital for maintaining the biodiversity and balance of marine ecosystems. By providing free teleconsulting and teleradiology from our team of exotics and radiology Diplomates, we hope to help with the rescue and rehabilitation of these endangered animals. Please contact us if you have Sea Turtle cases you think would benefit from specialist support.

  • VetCT also signed up to the Marine Conservation Society July Plastic Challenge! We’re raising awareness and encouraging our team to reduce use and increase recycling of plastics. You can find out how to get involved HERE.

Reducing carbon emissions
We are currently developing a framework to measure and reduce our carbon emissions to reach sustainable targets. We look forward to sharing more details soon. Representatives from VetCT are excited to be attending the Veterinary Green Forum in September.

People
The health and happiness of our team is paramount. We support our team through internal events, health awareness campaigns, regular check-ins and access to support services. We have also formed a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion working group – more details to follow soon!

Supporting the wellbeing of our team and the wider veterinary industry is also incredibly important to us. We’re exploring how our services can support the job satisfaction, motivation and wellbeing of veterinary teams. We also sponsor veterinary wellbeing events, such as the free WellVet webinar on loneliness following the challenges of the pandemic – click HERE to watch.
