VetCT were proud sponsors of the ESVN/ECVN conference in Wroclaw, which was focused on neuroimaging this year. Fraser McConnell who leads our MRI team was involved with a discussion panel talking about collaboration between neurologists and radiologists.
We recently became the first veterinary imaging company to create a subspecialty in neuroimaging. Over the past 6 months we have revolutionised our approach to this specialist area. We have introduced a robust internal training and quality assurance programme to ensure that our neurology colleagues receive high quality neuroimaging reports from a team of highly skilled radiologists. Fraser McConnell is now working with us and we are benefiting from access to his vast experience in the field of neuroimaging. Within our team of MRI radiologists, we have experience of 3T and advanced MRI techniques and can offer advice and support with technical aspects of MRI in addition to image interpretation.
We are building relationships and introducing discussion rounds with our neurology clients to ensure regular personal communication and to reap the benefits of a collaborative approach. As a company we are keen to support training and development of imaging skills and can provide support for neurology residents. We are also keen to collaborate on clinical research using our resources and extensive database.
