The VetCT Telemedicine Hospital (VTH) is the world’s first dedicated veterinary telemedicine hospital and introduces a “Third Way” of practising veterinary medicine. The VTH is the brain child of Directors Dr Yaiza Forcada and Professor Stijn Niessen, as a result of their desire to come up with a more integrated and holistic approach to practising veterinary medicine, as well as finding solutions to problems with job satisfaction, stress and staff retention in veterinary clinical medicine.
“The VetCT Telemedicine Hospital was built to help our veterinary colleagues provide the best possible care to their patients, even when referral to a veterinary specialist is simply not possible,” commented Dr Yaiza Forcada, VetCT Telemedicine Hospital Director. “Our instant telephone support will enable our colleagues in first opinion practice to grow their clinical know-how skills. You can think of it as unique, personalised and truly continuous professional development.”
Based at St John’s Innovation Centre and directed by Dr Victoria Johnson and Dr Julien Labruyère, VetCT is a world leading telemedicine service which has been providing world-class services to an international client base since 2009. VetCT holds offices in the UK, United States and Australia. This innovative telemedicine service forms an integral part of VetCT’s offering.
